After 30 months of on-and-off development, countless tests, and more than a few late nights, we think we’ve finally nailed it.

The crown development alone went through seven major iterations:
1) Straight strip
2) Machined strip
3) Rolled strip
4) Cold forged strip
5) Billet ring
6) 4140 casting – normalized – machined – hardened – tempered

And ultimately,  attempt #7:
Laser cut, annealed, cold forged, machined, hardened,  and tempered – the winner.

Each version taught us something new – from refining tooth angles to optimizing gullet volume. Now, after all that testing, adjusting, and perfecting – it’s your turn.
You can now make or repair your own with the crown, or get the completed core bit ready to go.
